Lucas Di Mascio and Michael Farina first met while working on Malacoda's third release. They realized they had a lot of musical tastes in common and decided to start a recording project during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic that fit their love of goth rock/metal bands like Katatonia and Type O Negative.
